Objectives
For this project recreate an image of your choice. Successful projects will not simply copy an image, but will identify what it is about the original image(s) in the first place that are exciting and intriguing to them and then work off that idenfication. For example, if you are drawn to a photograph of someone standing near a puddle and their face is reflecting in the puddle and they have sneakers on and are outside, you don't simply want to recreate that scene. First identify the essence of the image for you. In this case, perhaps the idea of reflection and duality and multi-layered reality is what is interesting to you. In that case you would go out and explore reflections in windows, in water, in mirrors.... The idea is not simply to copy but to identify what is making an image great in your mind and then recapturing and recreating that idea yourself.

Project Research: 10points
Find 6 images from one or more photographs that strike you. Answer the following questions:
What is it about your chosen image that interests you? Is it conceptual, dealing with the subject matter, formal, dealing with design principles, or a combination of both. What kinds of ways can you emulate these images? Can you come up with a symbolic interpretation rather than a literal one?
