VINTAGE FIESTA ASHTRAY
There are two varieties of the Vintage Fiesta ashtray. The early version will have seven concentric rings on the bottom of the piece and will be unmarked since the bottom was covered with rings and there was no place for the ink mark. Around 1940, a few years after the start of production, automatic jiggering machines were utilized at Homer Laughlin, which resulted in a loss of all but two bottom rings, leaving room to add the "Genuine Fiesta" backstamp.
Early varieties are available in the original six colors, while the ashtray can be found in all eleven vintage colors, with medium green comanding the highest prices due to its later and shorter production run. Dimensions:
